Husband and wife team Jeff Ryan and Barbara Edelman started Everyday Artifact in 1998 in rural Santa Fe, NM with a goal of creating meaningful, minimal and affordable museum quality gifts. The business is based upon work we created in collaboration with photo-conceptual artists, inventing the process of printing richly detailed black and white images directly onto precious metals. We eventually realized, if we could use the process to make really tiny prints – they could be jewelry!
Jeff + I consider us incredibly lucky that our studio is 200 feet from the house. Everything is made in our solar powered studio in a manner that is gentle on the planet. We are proud to have created a product that has served as an emotional anchor point for so many people. Heartfelt and handcrafted.
