Firminio US will be debuting its new Spring/Summer collection at NY NOW

New York – January 23, 2019 — Firminio was founded in 2014 by the creative and entrepreneurial minds Valentia Abbate and Valeria Maria Fazio. With different professional backgrounds, but sharing the date of birth and a great passion for Italian fashion, the two meet again in Alvito, their hometown. From this point on, they decided to create a brand reflecting their great passion for high Italian craftsmanship and fashion, aiming to enhance their homeland. They have pursued this project with stubbornness and ability!  In 2016, starting from the lower Lazio, the brand Firminio has conquered new markets on the national and international territory and has taken part in important trade fairs both in Milan and Paris. The production process is entirely meticulous in terms of quality, strongly connected to the Italian craftmanship, a leather factory network was built close to the Firminio headquarters in which Valentina still continues experimenting and producing the collections with the help of the finest handcraft workers’ expertise.

Firminio Spring/Summer 2019 collection core is “Supreme Italian Leather”, alongside with the brand’s iconic must have elegance and luxury bags, which are mixed and enriched with unconventional materials such as the natural walnut wood, cork, pvc, canvas and more. The geometric straight lines are colored in bright tones interrupted by dusty shades. The results are a dynamic and colorful collection, created for a woman who plays with fashion without following its “rules”. Firminio was born from the friendship of two women: Valentina and Valeria. Originally from Alvito, a pleasant locality located in the Valle di Comino, Italy, Valentina and Valeria share a great passion for Italian craftsmanship and a dream to enhance their land of origin.

The name Firminio is inspired by the protagonist of a novel by Sam Savage, a mouse that lives in a bookstore in Manhattan and seeks his own affirmation through reading. A dream pursued with stubbornness and skill.

The winter 2019 edition of NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle, Handmade + Gift, will take place February 3-6, 2019 at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. NY NOW features three comprehensive collections — HOME, LIFESTYLE and HANDMADE — that encompass tens of thousands of products in hundreds of product categories. For the first time, NY NOW welcomes the co-locations of the winter market with the National Stationery Show® and SURTEX®, which will take place during the same time, all under one roof and in the same location.
