Home, Lifestyle + Gift, is pleased to
spotlight its Handmade® Designer Maker section for buyers looking for unique handcrafted
products. This section features an exciting sourcing experience from domestic
and international brands that offer hand-crafted pieces. This August, buyers
will discover a growing international presence as well as groups of makers from
U.S. cities like Portland and Austin, that are bursting with creativity. Jewelry
continues to be a leading trend among Handmade Designer Maker exhibitors, as
well as those with sustainable practices and naturally sourced gems. NY NOW
will take place in its entirety Sunday, August 12 – Wednesday, August 15, 2018
at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City and buyers can find the
Handmade Designer Maker section on Level 3 in the 1000-1400 aisles.

Little Minnow (Booth #1447) – Returning from an absence – Lizzi and Mary
Bradley are sisters, business owners and by a small miracle, still friends!
They met back in the 80’s and found themselves both in Austin, TX in 2011.
While living in a tiny apartment together, their idea of making handmade
women’s accessories came to life. They spent their weekends learning how to
screen print, sketching out designs and connecting new products. They will be
featuring scarves, travel bags and pins.

New and Convenient
Dates
NY NOW will feature a new date pattern for
the summer 2018 market offering greater convenience to both buyers and
exhibitors. The Handmade Designer Maker section will open along with the rest
of NY NOW at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 12 and close at 3:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, August 15 (one hour later than previous markets). Please note that no sections are open on Saturday. This date
pattern represents a return to NY NOW’s traditional and preferred summer
schedule, eliminating the staggered opening of recent markets and allowing
buyers to shop all sections of the Market – including Handmade Designer Maker –
at any point during the show.
