WHITE PLAINS, NY, July 17, 2015…With a three-pronged collaboration, NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, will expand its dynamic partnership with HGTV Magazine for the second consecutive year to include the second annual Blogger Block Party, a first-ever #NYNOW Social Media Lounge sponsored by HGTV Magazine and a seminar on Blogging for Business also moderated by the magazine, all presented in connection with the forthcoming Market, August 15-19, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

HGTV Magazine’s second-annual Blogger Block Party will include opportunities for bloggers to meet, craft, and share their experiences at an interactive event during NY NOW. Sara Peterson, HGTV Magazine’s editor-in-chief, and Genevieve Gorder, HGTV designer, will make personal appearances during the free event. The second-annual Blogger Block Party will be held on Monday, August 17, from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at 404 NYC, located at 404 10th Avenue (between 32nd and 33rd Street) just blocks from the Javits Center. The lounge, which opens at the Javits Center on Sunday, August 16, will be open daily through Wednesday, August 19, during all show hours.

In addition, a seminar titled “Blogging for Business 101: Everything You Need To Know and Why” will explore how to use blogging to build business, where to find inspiration and subject matter, and how to develop and expand an audience. Alyssa Sparacino, Online Editor at HGTV Magazine, will moderate the discussion of blogging options and opportunities, with panelists including Nole Garey of Oh So Beautiful Paper, Grace Kang of Pink Olive and Becky Tyre of Retail Details.
