WHITE PLAINS, NY. — August 17, 2017 — In just a few days, NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, will bring together the industry’s leading brands, products and creative visionaries in the great city of New York for the start of the Summer 2017 Market. Starting this Saturday, August 19 and continuing through Wednesday, August 23, buyers, designers, and tastemakers will have the opportunity to discover the latest home and lifestyle trends, attend exclusive events and seminars, and rub elbows with some of the most influential names in the business.

The Market will continue its tradition of a staggered opening. The Handmade® Global Design section of the HANDMADE Collection, presenting 150 global import resources, will open on Saturday, August 19 and close on Tuesday, August 22. The HOME and LIFESTYLE Collections, as well as Artisan Resource® will open on Sunday, August 20 and close on Wednesday, August 23. In addition, the popular Handmade® Designer Maker section, featuring 350 design maker resources from across the U.S. and around the world focusing on limited-production makers across all categories and media, has moved to Level 3 of the convention center for the first time, and as a result, it follows the same schedule as the other sections on that level, opening Sunday, August 20 and closing Wednesday, August 23.

Tastemakers and More
NY NOW will gather more than 2,400 premier brands – established and emerging alike – who are expected to showcase tens of thousands of on-trend products across hundreds of categories. Attendees can browse the expansive aisles and discover unique finds from an endless mecca of innovations across categories including home décor and furnishings, tabletop and housewares, gifts, stationery, and textiles, as well as personal care and accessories for men, women and children, and more!

This year, NY NOW is excited to partner with Adam Glassman, Creative Director of O, The Oprah Magazine, Emmy Award-winning fashion correspondent, and regular NY NOW attendee. Mr. Glassman will be on-site as one of the select judges for NY NOW’s “Best New Product” Awards Program as well as to explore the market floor for unique products that could make their way onto the pages of the magazine in the coming months.

NY NOW is also excited to welcome leading icons and visionaries to the NY NOW summer market including the one and only Iris Apfel, interior designer and fashion icon. Iris Apfel and her students from the innovative UT in NYC design program will be in attendance to discover everything that NY NOW has to offer.

There’s Still Time to Register!
NY NOW is a can’t-miss experience and online registrations are still being accepted for qualified members of the trade through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 18th. Applicants must present credentials on-site upon arrival to the Market in order to complete the registration process and receive a badge.

Eligible and credentialed members of the media may visit the on-site press center on the 4A Terrace to present their credentials and apply for a press badge. Editors, reporters, writers, television and radio producers, and broadcast/Internet reporters from approved media outlets will receive editorial press badges, while publishers and advertising and sales representatives from approved media outlets will receive advertising press badges.
