design for a better world® Display
The NY NOW sustainability: design for a better world® display is a curated showcase
of global gift and home industry suppliers whose products or production
processes are eco-friendly, or companies whose business practices are socially
responsible, philanthropic or fair-trade oriented. Participation is free and open
to all NY NOW exhibitors, but companies must apply and be accepted.
Additionally, all products within the display are automatically eligible for
the “Eco Choice” Awards program. One winner will be selected by an independent
panel of judges in each of three categories: Most Innovative, Most Sensitive
Use of Materials, and Most Sellable. Only products accepted to the display are
eligible for the “Eco Choice” Awards program.

display is Friday, May 25, 2018.
destination:new Display
The exciting destination:new product display highlights new designs from around the market,
making it a great way for attendees to easily see some of the leading and
emerging trends in one place. Exhibitors showcasing products that are new to
the marketplace as of March 1, 2018 are invited to apply for this opportunity.
There is no cost to apply or participate, though a single entry can only represent
one item, or one set of items packaged together for retail sale. The product
choices are subject to the review and discretion of the display designer. Among
the display participants, any product that is making its debut exclusively at
NY NOW will automatically be considered for NY NOW’s “Best Exclusive Launch”
Award.
The application deadline for the destination:new display is Friday, May 25, 2018.
“Best New Product”
Awards
The “Best New Product” Awards celebrate the
extraordinary offerings from exhibitors across the Market and recognize one
standout product in each of the ten sections. All products entered are eligible
to be considered for the “Best New Product” Award in their category, identified
by the section of the NY NOW market in which they are exhibiting. One winner in
each section will be selected by an independent panel of judges during the
Market and winners will be announced during NY NOW. Exhibitors showcasing
products that are new to the marketplace as of March 1, 2018 are invited to
apply for this opportunity. There is no cost to apply for consideration, though
a single entry can only represent one item, or one set of items packaged
together for retail sale. Among the ten section winners, one overall winner
will be selected as the recipient of the “Best in Market” Award.
The application deadline for the “Best New
Product” Awards is Friday, June 29, 2018.
New and Convenient
Dates
NY NOW will feature a new date pattern for
the summer 2018 market offering greater convenience to both buyers and
exhibitors. The market will open at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 12 and close at
3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15 (one hour later than previous markets). Please note that no sections are open on Saturday. This date
pattern represents a return to NY NOW’s traditional and preferred summer
schedule, eliminating the staggered opening of recent markets and allowing
buyers to shop all sections of the Market – and browse the prestigious display
areas – at any point during the show.

City. No sections are open on Saturday.
