NEW YORK, NY, August 15, 2015… Online balloting is now open to determine which two – of 20 eligible – products, will win the “Best of HOME” and “Best of LIFESTYLE” awards in connection with the summer 2015 edition of NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, which runs Saturday, August 15, through Wednesday, August 19, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Voting takes place on Facebook at http://bit.ly/NYNOW_BNP_HOME (for Best of HOME) and http://bit.ly/NYNOW_BNP_LIFESTYLE (for Best of LIFESTYLE), through Tuesday, August 18, and winners will be announced on Wednesday, August 19, before the conclusion of the Market.
“Editors from more than two dozen leading trade and consumer media outlets reviewed hundreds of NY NOW exhibitor new product submissions to determine the 20 top items in several categories,” said Randi Mohr, NY NOW co-director and vice president. “It’s now up to NY NOW participants, as well as the general public, to select which of these contenders from across the United States and around the world will be NY NOW’s Best of HOME and Best of LIFESTYLE winners.”
From hundreds of contenders in four broad “Best New Product Award” categories – Baby + Child, Personal Care + Wellness, Home Textiles and Tabletop + Gourmet Housewares – first round review determined 20 top products. Criteria for preliminary judging included: innovative design; creative use of materials/construction; and use of new materials/technology. These 20 products will now compete for two best overall distinctions – Best of HOME and Best of LIFESTYLE – based on popular voting.
