NY NOW® and Gift for Life Join Forces for 2023 AIDS Walk New York
Leading gift & home wholesale event pledges to support and donate to NY-based charity
New York, NY (April 6, 2023) – NY NOW®, the largest national gift and home wholesale trade show, is proud to announce its continued support for HIV/AIDS care with a commitment to match the first $8,000 in donations to the AIDS Walk New York 2023. Though the leading gift and home event has undergone a significant brand evolution during recent seasons, NY NOW remains dedicated to its charitable endeavors and support for the prevention, care, and advocacy of this cause.
NY NOW’s team will continue to raise funds over the next few weeks leading up to the day of the live event in Central Park on May 21, 2023, in collaboration with Gift for Life, an organization founded in 1992 to fight HIV/AIDS. NY NOW is thrilled to continue walking alongside GFL, a longtime partner, and to work together toward their founding mission of fundraising to fight HIV/AIDS. Their collective goal is to raise $40K through both their own efforts and the public’s help.
Alana Branston, CEO of recently acquired wholesale marketplace Bulletin and NY NOW’s new GVP of Gift & Home, has joined the board to represent NY NOW’s parent company, Emerald, and their Emerald Cares initiative.
“The entire NY NOW team is thrilled to partner with GFL to support the fundraising efforts of AIDS Walk New York 2023,” said Branston, NY NOW’s Group Vice President of Gift & Home. “It’s been very meaningful for me to join the board of one of our most valued partners, and I couldn’t be more motivated to help raise awareness and funds for such an important cause. In partnership with Gift for Life, we hope to continue in our mission to support charities on both the national and local level in need of support.”
The AIDS Walk is a meaningful way to not only support a great cause, but also to bring the GFL-NY NOW Gold Team together before meeting again for the Summer Market trade show, which will be held at the Javits Center on August 13-16, 2023. It was born in 1986 out of the anguish of gay men in neighborhoods from Greenwich Village to Harlem who were first besieged by the deadly new disease.
