WHITE PLAINS, NY. – August 8, 2017 – NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, is set to gather the industry’s leading brands, products and tastemakers in the great city of New York later this month for what is expected to be one of the year’s most trend-setting market events. Taking place Saturday, August 19th through Wednesday, August 23rd at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, NY NOW will provide a one-stop-shop for buyers to browse the latest home and lifestyle trends, discover amazing new products, participate in a range of seminars and exclusive events, and so much more!
The market will continue its tradition of featuring a staggered opening. The Handmade® Global Design section of the HANDMADE Collection will open on Saturday, August 19 and close on Tuesday, August 22. The HOME and LIFESTYLE Collections, as well as Artisan Resource® will open on Sunday, August 20 and close on Wednesday, August 23. In addition, the popular Handmade® Designer Maker section has moved to Level 3 of the convention center for the first time, and as a result, it will follow the same schedule as the other sections on that level, opening Sunday, August 20 and closing Wednesday, August 23.

NY NOW’s HOME Collection will focus on furnishings and home textiles, interior décor, tabletop and gourmet housewares and contemporary design. The LIFESTYLE Collection will feature the latest trend driven gifts and lifestyle products in four themed sections including Baby + Child, Gift, Personal Accessories and Personal Care + Wellness. Finally, as the industry’s hallmark of design and craftsmanship, the HANDMADE Collection presents three distinct sections offering handcrafted merchandise in categories such as tabletop, ceramics, textiles, home décor, jewelry, apparel and more. Across all three Collections, NY NOW is thrilled to welcome more than 500 new exhibitors that are sure to impress attendees.
NY NOW will continue its tradition of spotlighting the newest creations to the industry as well as those that are environmentally-conscious. The sustainability: design for a better world® display will showcase global home and lifestyle suppliers, products, production processes and business practices from around the world that are eco-friendly and socially responsible. Brands such as BENT&BREE, Slash Objects, and Shupaca are among the 67 companies that will have eco-conscious products on display. The destination:new display will feature more than 100 products that are new to the marketplace as of March 1, 2017. Of the products typically selected for the display, many will be debuting exclusively at NY NOW’s summer 2017 market, making this a must-see exhibit for any NY NOW attendee looking for the freshest designs.
Seminars and Events
The market will once again offer a busy agenda featuring sessions led by experts including representatives from industry associations, leading trade and consumer publications and more. NY NOW is a can’t-miss experience and registrations are still being accepted. Qualified members of the trade may register online through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 19th. Applicants must present credentials on-site upon arrival to the market in order to complete the registration process and receive a badge.
Eligible and credentialed members of the media can pre-register online through August 14, 2017. Editors, reporters, writers, television and radio producers, and broadcast/Internet reporters from approved media outlets will receive editorial press badges, while publishers and advertising and sales representatives from approved media outlets will receive advertising press badges.
